Thommo wins more accolades
Each year The Adelaide Advertiser [South Australia's daily newspaper], runs a special 20 page Food and Wine supplement in which the doyen local Wine Writer Commentator and Judge, Philip White selects his 100 Best Australian wines.
This year nearly 1100 entries were received, amongst which there were 258 in the Cabernet Sauvignon and blends category. Philip selected only 10 for his top 100 and Wayne Thomas 2004 Cabernet was equal highest point scorer with 94/100!
In the "Other Red Varieties" class he selected only 9 wines for the top 100 and … you guessed it, the highly acclaimed 2004 Wayne Thomas Petit Verdot scooped the pool with top points with another 94/100.
Well done Thommo ... like your wines you are getting better with age!
